2025 Finish Lines, Not Finish Times
Female 6 week beginners program
Registrations open December 9th

Have you ever wanted to do a triathlon but have no idea where to start? Are you a beginner or just starting out? 

​

Our 6 week program is aimed at helping you build the essentials to complete your first triathlon by guiding you every step of the way. 

​

The club has successfully run two beginners programmes with many participants going on to become active members of the club. The program is run by a TriNSW qualified coach alongside the wonderful volunteers of Coogee Triathlon Club and is supported by a Triathlon NSW grant focused on increasing female participation in triathlon. â€‹

Program

  • 6 week program suitable for beginners with daily detailed guidance 

  • 6 face to face sessions with a Triathlon NSW Development coach

  • Race entry for a Coogee Triathlon club race in a 'beginners only' wave

  • A group What's App where you have the ability to ask questions and build a community

  • Group sessions ran along side the regular weekly traingin with Coogee Triathlon Club

Race distance will be an 'Enticer'

300m swim (in a pool) | 10km bike | 2.5km run

Equipment required

Swim

  • Bathers

  • Goggles

  • Swim cap

Bike

  • Bike (mountain, commuter, road, hybrid, time trial)

  • Helmet (Australian standard in good condition) 

  • Shoes (clip in or normal trainers)

  • Shorts (cycling shorts with padding will be most comfortable)

  • Top (Cycling jersey or t-shirt)

Run

  • Trainers

  • Shorts and t-shirt

Optional

  • Triathlon suit

  • Sports sunglasses

  • Hat (to run in)

  • Watch for measuring time

Monday 6th Jan - Program Starts
Tuesday 7th Jan - Group run session

Thursday 16th Jan - Group bike session

Week 3
Friday 24th Jan - Group swim session

Week 4
1st or 2nd Feb - group transition/bike/run session

Week 5 
Thursday 6th Feb - Group bike/run session

Week 6
Sunday 16th Feb - Race Day

Entry

This program is supported by Triathlon NSW and is $35.00 to enter.

 

If you are not already a Triathlon NSW member it is encouraged for you join up for the Aus Triathlon 8 week $35 trial membership with covers you for insurance purposes in training. It is suggested you do not take this membership out until just before the 6 week program starts so you are covered throughout the whole period
